Sunday cooler report

jhetleyMore asters blooming, a few patches now rather than isolated plants. Still not serious. More goldenrod, more thistles including a couple of bull thistles, more jewel-weed not yet to the touch-me-not stage. And more purple loosestrife.
No notable roadkill, just a couple of gray squirrels that couldn't stand life any more and became one with the asphalt.
Rode upriver to the dam overlook. No eagles today, but maybe a smaller raptor cruising downriver. Gull size but not flying like a gull.
Warm but not hot, dry enough for sweat to dry, tailwind on the downriver leg, not impossible bike weather. Did not die.
