Folks are bitching about "vaccine passports" as an invasion of their freedom. Vaccinations have been required for international travel since forever -- I still have a yellow fold-out paper listing of all the shots the Army made me take, back in the Stone Age.

I wish I'd been able to keep track of all the vaccinations I've had across the decades.

At least, I'm not planning to do any more international travel. Ever. I'm done with that. Even if the US goes full-on fascist and does a "Poland 1939" to us up here in Canada. Where could I afford to flee to?

First time I went abroad I carried a yellow fold-out vaccine passport with all the various required and suggested vaccinations needed in (gasp) 1975 for travel in Europe. The list of shots for more exotic locales than Athens was even longer. Didn't seem ike a problem then.

Mine, being Vietnam-era, included a lot of that exotica -- Southeast Asia has a lot of pests.
