jhetleyAdult bald eagle low over the river at my overlook stop, heading downstream at hunting altitude. Fishies beware.
Smartweed and the similar, taller, lady's thumbs blooming, and maybe jewelweed.
Roadkill macabre, a dead deer at about mile 16 on my ride that had been lying there long enough for the head to go skull. Wonder what happened to the neighborhood cleanup crew. Coyotes should have hauled that away weeks ago.
Got out on the bike, upriver and across and down, not too windy or too hot. Did not die. Ride takes me over 600 miles for the year.
