Why is the US talking about buying Pfizer vaccine doses for the third world, when that is the most difficult of the current versions to store, distribute, and administer? Why not the J&J version, single dose and less stringent storage?

I think J&J has had some manufacturing issues that might have been part of the problem. Pfizer may have the capacity to produce 500,000 doses in a more timely fashion.

Or not. They don't tell me.

I saw a news item that we have J&J doses nearing their expiration date, unused.
