Well, Castor and Pollux did _not_ blow us to Bermuda. (Literary reference there, for those of us who may be literate.) Actually, a quick trip to Bermuda might be attractive in the midst of your traditional Maine February...

We did have wind. We did have rain. The temperatures have plunged, although only to about 10 F this morning rather than the threatened negative numbers. 'Tis enough, 'twill do.

And I strongly doubt that the Great Caribou Bog Wicked Winter Cross Country Ski Race and Tour will occur today. Bare ground.

I should be typing on the other computer instead of this one -- that's the one with the novel files on it, defended by an air gap from the slings and arrows of outrageous internet virus attacks. But I'm still in the process of resetting my brain, and the bits I added to Chapter XIV since doing that copy-edit review probably suck. Granted, I try to follow the sage advice of Ms. Lamott and give myself the luxury of writing really shitty first drafts. Still...
