No snow

For all the weather-blather about the nor-easter pummeling New England, I look out the window and see gray skies and brown lawns. Even the weather radar says we are receiving snow, but I have yet to see a flake. Unless you count our neighbor across the street...

This leaves Wife with the dilemma of going to the nature center, and then deciding when to bail out in the face of blizzard conditions. Or not.

Words committed this morning, Fat Wizard musing on the previous night and running combinations and permutations through his head. Some of them get loud and violent, sort of like tossing metallic sodium into water. And he's wondering why a certain FBI mage isn't answering his cell phone.

Still a ways to go until we reach the explosions and car chase.

Several inches of whiteness have already occurred in my flatlandish neck of the woods, with the weatherfolx claiming many more to come. This appears to be a southern New England storm, which unfortunately does little for cross-country skiing in northern New England.

Well, we now have a dusting out there, with occasional flakes adding to the count. I can still see asphalt and dry brown grass. Wife has headed off to work, under a spell of compulstion to come home again if the roads _start_ to get bad. Not waiting until they actually _are_ bad, mind you.
