No cats on the afternoon squish around the neighborhood. Did encounter a star-nose mole at the same street corner where I've seen one before. Stayed on the asphalt rather than diving into the snow and grass -- maybe it has learned that worms come out in the wet?

Huh, I don't think I've ever seen a real-life mole.

This one I've seen alive twice. It or close relatives, at least. Same location, within a couple of feet. Also sometimes see them when I'm out on the bike.
