Lured in under false pretenses

Well, the sky cleared for long enough that I decided to take a chance on the bike. And there's this road, up through the university forest, that I've been avoiding because of generalized decrepitude. But when I came to one end of it, there was, lo and behold! Fresh new asphalt! So I decided to turn. I mean, it's a nice ride, trees and ponds and the Stillwater River along one side.

Turns out they only paved a mile of it. Out of more than three. Oh, well, I can get those fillings replaced on my next visit to the dentist....
