Air temperature37 F, wind north about 7 mph, sunny. Crab-apple tree out back leafing out, forsythia blooming, grass going green while parts of the lawn are still too squishy to mow. Hummingbird reported downriver. Have not yet heard the frogs.

First azaleas blooming, a few bushes that are always early. Ours aren't quite there yet. The "periwinkle" ground cover in our small wilderness has purple blooms, so low in the dark green leaves that you have to be looking for them. And the lily-of-the-valley noses have turned into spikes but not ready to unfurl leaves yet, much less flowers.
