Service disservice

Air temperature 6 F, wind southwest about 4 mph, cloudy. Sidewalk snowplow was poking around before 5 AM, but doesn't seem to have hit our side-road yet. Which means I don't have to clear the residue across our driveway yet. Does raise the hope of getting a walk in.

I should mention that in addition to the superb owls I offered yesterday, we also have some number of suburb owls. Great horned and barred owls cruise our streets now and then, stirring up crows and nabbing the occasional unwary squirrel. I've heard them and even seen them ghosting past streetlights.
