Snow shortage

jhetleyPromises, promises. The forecast folks said we'd get an inch or so of new snow, a couple of times. Nada. Therefore, no improvement on the trails and no excuse to get me off my ass and out on the skis. I have no interest in trying to ski over ice and dogshit.
Temperatures around 5 F this morning (-15 C), which is 20 degrees warmer than it could be. A degree-day saved is a degree-day earned.
Printed off Chapter VIII on SIGNATURES this morning, putting me over 25 K words into a probable 100 K manuscript. We'll see how many of those words manage to stick in the final version. My wizard is currently dodging cutlery and half-cooked dinner tossed by his current girlfriend in a temper tantrum -- she smells Detective Sergeant Cash all over him, and recognizes that shade of lipstick....
