Tired of the strife

Air temperature 38 F, wind near calm, partly cloudy. We still have power, although a number of our compatriots do not. A lot of the "fall foliage" is Gone With The Wind. One minor amusement, yesterday was hard on the political signs littering our landscape.

Neighborhood survey

Power still out along the second block of our street, private generators running. Their feed comes from a different trunk. Bunch of smaller branches down, mostly dead stuff, but a few major 12"-16" tops broken off. None of the ones I saw damaged houses or cars. No cat friends met.
