Sunday gloom report
Aug. 18th, 2024 11:22 amPhragmites showing seed heads now, invasive weed fighting for dominion of our wetlands. Wife says it isn't *quite* as offensive as the purple loosestrife because some of the wildlife will eat it. Otherwise, pretty much business as usual in the floral department. More jewelweed in the roadside ditch on my long uphill.
No roadkill. No transient metal birds out at the base/airport. Few birds at all, just pigeons and crows.
Got out on the bike, across town and back, didn't even bump into the underside of the clouds at the apex of my ride. Did not die.
