Air temperature 34 F, wind north about 13 mph gusting over 20, cloudy and light snow falling. Roads are wet and probably deceitful. Groundhogs roasting on an open fire . . .
Tufted titmouse at the feeders this morning. Haven't seen one for a while. That's one of the birds that has been extending its range northward in the last few decades -- old range maps don't show it further north than Massachusetts.
