Gloomy continues

Air temperature 34 F, wind north about 6 mph, cloudy with mist falling. Supposed to be damp for most of the rest of the week, but rain instead of snow or ice. Walks may not happen.

Truly addictive

We have joggers out and about. Air temperature 35 F and drizzle interspersed with rain. And few cleared sidewalks, so they are running in the road.

Well, I just replaced the sunflower seed feeder with a thistle seed feeder out back, with fresh seed. I'd expected a lag before the word got around. We have a goldfinch already.

Sunflower seed is squirrel bait. They don't go for the thistle.

Well spent tax dollars

City diesel-powered snowblower has been by, we now have sidewalks again. I was amused by the way it slowed down and then came to a full stop at some points, and how there is still a skim of slushy ice after two passes. I have cleared the residue off our driveway. Forecast rain should deal with the rest.
