Air temperature 25 F, wind southwest gusting over 20 mph, snowing. Winter storm warning, snow expected to continue until about noon, blowing and drifting to continue afterward. We'll calibrate shovel vs. snowblower in late morning, but looking like snowblower at this point. City plows have not yet been by.

Note to eclipse chasers -- today's 6"+ of snow is not at all unusual for Maine in March and April. If you choose to head Up North for the event, you are rolling the dice.

Well, we've had a few passes by the city snowplow on both our main road and the side road. So, plow berm. Definite snowblower territory. After lunch.

I have run the slush blower and the driveway is available for use. City snowplow came by as I was finishing up, but he skipped our end like a true gentleman. I waved.

Net depth at that point, after wet snow settling, was about 4".
