Weather all the time

Air temperature 48 F, wind northwest about 6 mph, cloudy. Not raining at the moment, which means I may not need to research the length of a cubit. Probably about a gallon of water on the basement floor, which I urged toward the drain. Supposed to be unseasonably warm later in the week.

No neighborhood cats

Had a lot of robins and little brown birds on the morning walk -- looks like we have another wave of migrants working through. Mockingbirds, not migrants, singing to claim important berry bushes for the winter. They'll have to compete with the overwinter robins, which also survive on berries.
