Air temperature 66 F, wind west about 3 mph, fog at the airport and low overcast here. Current NHC track on Lee is dropping him to tropical storm status while still out in the Gulf of Maine and taking a hard right to head into the Bay of Fundy. Halifax and other Bluenose personnel take note. Meanwhile, we have a morning appointment and I maintain hope for an afternoon bike ride.

Showy purple asters are showy. Much of the rest of the world has gone to seed, which can be either real or metaphor -- your choice. No roadkill to report, no interesting metal birds at the airport/base. They often fly away from storms. We've had refugees here from storms down south.

Rode across town and back, nothing notable except a police car headed at an excessive rate of speed out the road I was heading in, siren and lights and a snarling engine. We'll see if anything shows up on the news. Anyway, did not die. Although there was a turkey vulture circling a few streets over when I got home.
