The gloom eternal

Air temperature 65 F, wind southeast about 3 mph, scattered fog and dew point 64. Dark enough that our photocell-controlled garage light was on when I rolled the garbage bin out to the end of our driveway. Supposed to get showers and thundershowers later.

Under surveillance

Local police have been watching our 4-way stop this morning, nabbing a continuing series of vehicles from a spot opposite our driveway on the side street. It's a "target-rich environment" as people blow through that intersection on a regular basis. I probably ought to take coffee out to the officer.
