Unrequited love

Air temperature 55 F at the airport, wind west about 5 mph, partly cloudy. Still no hummingbird sightings. Come on, birds -- it's not like the azaleas get any benefit from those flowers. May attempt a bike ride.

Hazy flora report

Tamaracks greening up, bracken and cattail shoots in the bog, black cherry and the occasional apple joining the shadbush in the flowering tree zone. Not time for rhodora yet, and I didn't see any Canada mayflower or trout lily in the wild.

Hazy sun from wildfire smoke out of western Canada, but we warmed up into the 60s and I got out on the bike. Did not die. No roadkill seen.
