Air temperature 47 F, wind northeast about 5 mph, cloudy with patchy fog. May get some scattered rain showers, more tomorrow into Tuesday. We need them -- well into spring brushfire season.
Saw two pileated woodpeckers working on that tree across the park, I'd assume a pair but the hole I could see looked like feeding rather than nesting. They have left an impressive scattering of chips on the lawn below.
