Welcome equinox

Air temperature 20 F, wind south at 6 mph, sunrise. "Feels like" temperature 12 F. Just another balmy almost-spring morning in Maine. Expect more than the ordinary run of surliness from here this morning, as I have skipped coffee.

Not quite spring yet, but I just spotted our chipmunk on the front porch. Looked properly plump and groomed.

Still aten't dead

Turkey vulture circled low enough over my afternoon walk that I told it that I was still moving. I think something must have smelled interesting in that area. Anyway, two yards had crocuses blooming, one with patches of the small yellows that are often the earliest and one solid bank of purples that came as a bit of a surprise.
