Northeaster coming

Air temperature 24 F, wind northeast about 1 mph, high thin clouds over hazy waning moon. Supposed to be cloudy all day, snow starting around noon tomorrow. Major impact south and west of us. Debating whether we can forage tomorrow morning.

My parents had experience with bank failures. It was called the Depression. Among the lessons they learned was, multiple bank accounts in multiple independent banks. AKA, "Never keep all your eggs in one basket."

More neighborhood fun

Another decrepit carriage house has bitten the dust. This one had been in the process of removing itself for years, with roof caved in and upper walls following, piece by piece. I hope the neighbors are prepared to house the homeless wildlife displaced in this urban renewal -- no obvious smell of skunks detected.
