Arbitrary day

Air temperature 28 F, wind near calm, overcast. Got an inch or a bit more of snow overnight. City plows out gathering it and packing it into driveways even as we speak. May attempt a remedial foraging this morning, things our regular ecosystem hasn't stocked for several weeks now.
