Another trash day

Thus do we mark our milestones. Air temperature 69 F, wind south about 4 mph, sunny. Dithering over possible bike ride before the world turns hellish.

Compliance failure

Just spent some aggravation on removing the lid from a can of frozen orange juice concentrate -- plastic pull strap would not budge. Ended up using a can opener. A lot of people with hand or wrist issues never would have gotten that off.

Friday fluttery report

No new flowers by the roadside, no roadkill. Stopped at the airbase for my water break and a monarch butterfly fluttered by. Hope he/she has a dating app on their smartphone, because I've only seen three or four of them so far this summer.

Also a visiting KC-135 out there, and a no-markings white two-engine midsize jet. We assume that's at the aircraft service business for customizing.

Hot, sticky, 82 F when I got home. Did not die.

Dead-headed about a hundred yesterday's flowers out of the day lilies. Keeps the stalks from flopping out on the lawn. And I've noticed, bees don't seem to like them. Nobody after the pollen and nectar.
