Sunday floral report
Jun. 13th, 2021 01:41 pmFirst blue cornflower, wild roses, and orange hawkweed. Lupines going to seed, horse-pasture full of buttercups that always bothers me.
Roadkill limited to a couple of gray squirrels, chipmunk, and a crow -- dead crow well away from any identifiable roadkill, so I do not know what lured it to its doom. Not-roadkill included a mockingbird that threw a round of mallard-quacks into his routine.
Got out on the bike, upriver to the dam and back. No eagles, but did see a blue heron rowing its way across the sky and a turkey vulture looping around and around as if it smelled something good. Wasn't me.
