Air temperature 21 F, wind west about 5 mph, partly cloudy. Did get a glimpse of Venus early, and crescent moon. We could be 40 degrees colder and not break our record low of -21 F for the date . . .

I'm not in charge of anything (and don't want to be), but if it was me, I'd hold the inauguration inside the Senate. Or on board Air Force One. And hold the VP inauguration separately. Not gonna have crowds and parades, anyway . . .
