Tuesday no-roadkill report

City is paving sidewalks and driveways around the local schools, with school starting next Tuesday. We think they had to wait as late as possible in order to maximize tar transfer to the kids' new shoes.

They also are grinding and paving two roads in the immediate neighborhood, including the major one we will use to get groceries tomorrow. Maximum inconvenience. We do have alternate routes, with other problems inherent.

Got out on the bike. More asters, some of the tall white ones chiming in. No herons. Did not die.
