Starting to dry off

Air temperature 65 F, wind SE about 5 mph, cloudy. Rain overnight, moving on into Canada now. May be able to sneak in a local bike ride.

Sunday aggravation report

Headed out to the garage to prep the bike and the rear tire valve wouldn't seat. Won't hold air. This is the third tire problem in about a month. So, pumped up the mountain bike tires and used that . . .

May have the bike shop replace tube and tire rather than get tangled up in the chain.

Headed across town for a shorter ride, dodging construction. Couple of visitor birds at the airport/base, KC-135 from Michigan and Belgian C-17.

Maybe moth mullein blooming.

Oddities of life

Out for my afternoon walk, spotted an odd lump in the driveway of a house that has been vacant for years but kept up. Turtle. Snapping turtle, 6" to 8" shell, hissed at me when I touched its shell (back out of snapping range). Just a-lookin' for a home . . .
