Interlude Sunday

Air temperature 62 F, dew point 60, wind south about 5 mph, overcast. Both heat and humidity headed upwards. Bike ride planned before that crashes down on us.

Sunday roadkill report

Multiple gray squirrels failed to complete their crossings, one red squirrel, skunk once I got back into town, and what I think was a long-tailed weasel. Roadkill ID can get difficult.

Not-roadkill, a flock of seven wild turkeys at about three miles into my ride. Looked to be all adults, but could be near-grown instead. Also, a couple of interesting metal birds out at the airport. And the flags at the base were still at full staff -- no decree from Caesar Augustus yet?

Got out on the bike, did not die.
