Still slouching along

Air temperature 44 F with scattered clouds for the morning out, wind near calm, dog in the next block taking exception to my walking on ours . . . could see and hear me from its back porch through the vacant lot. Too many dog owners are not suited to the duty.

The circle of life

We've been seeing Little Brown Birds zipping up and down our side yard, assumed feeding runs for young-un's. I'd been thinking song sparrows, due to that obnoxious singer claiming our spruce tree. But caught a feeding episode on the back fence, and no stripes. Chipping sparrows, with at least one youngster fledged.
