Memorial Day

Air temperature 49 F, mostly cloudy, wind SSE about 5 mph. My parade will consist of running the mower about the yard, beheading dandelions and ground ivy. This may distress our bumblebees. So bee it.

Lawn mowed, string trimmer run. I note that the National Guard seems to have budgeted for PR this year -- tanker flyover for the Memorial Day parade. They skipped the last couple of years.

Weird bird

While I was mowing the lawn earlier, there was a song sparrow that kept blasting me from the front bushes.  Territorial call, not nest-defense . . .
