Reversion to norm

Air temperature 48 F, calm, scattered clouds. I'm back to waiting for some warmth before getting out on the bike. This after a high of 86 F a couple of days ago . . .

Sunday vernal report

First dragonfly seen -- midrange in size, dark. Go bug go! Also, first yellow hawkweed.

Hobblebush, honeysuckle, and chokecherries blooming along the forest edges.

One live woodchuck, one that had been dead for several weeks if not months. Fur and bones.

Temperature got up into the middle 50s F, gusty wind, but I slathered on sunscreen and headed downriver to the next town. Did not die.
