Writer's Block: Wild Life
Apr. 28th, 2009 08:03 am[Error: unknown template qotd] Talk about open-ended questions. Winter in Maine? Bug season? Equipped or naked? With or without bears?

Tuesday no-roadkill report
Apr. 28th, 2009 11:47 amCan't even claim a fresh squashed squirrel to add to the feast for crows . . .
Not-roadkill, a woodchuck in a hayfield off the Chase Road. This is the first sighting, either the quick or the dead, on my bike routes this year. Which is a little strange, as the grass has greened up and Wife has reported them from the nature center, a couple of weeks now.
Sky cleared off, air warmed up, got out on the bike. Now I pay for it with itchy eyes, tree pollen attack.
15.27 miles, 1:10:02
(I'd like to claim improved conditioning and leg strength for the two-minute cut off last week's time, but lack of wind contributed more . . .)
