I suspect it gets less play than the Glorious Fourth because our successor Powers That Be are more fond of Independence in the abstract than the actual concrete act of going out and shooting at, well, Powers That Be . . .
And of course, Monday Holiday laws mean we actually celebrate tomorrow. A further disconnect from actual, you know, Rebellion.
