If Texas leaves the Federal Union, per recent public musings, then the rest of us won't have to put up with the schoolbook board (by whatever name they use) censoring textbooks for the rest of the nation . . .

Economic fallout

Local TV station has cut their coverage of the annual canoe race, along with laying off various and sundry including a second-generation news anchor.

So I can't watch for Neighbor going through the rapids with his yellow kayak upside down.

Man against Nature

Well, Neighbor reports that he and his partner made it all the way downstream without going for a swim.  Decent time, even.  Course was a bit scratchy this year, due to the lack of rain and previous departure of the snowmelt.
