Virulent attack of sunshine.  Still dropping into the mid-20s F at night, but forecast to reach 60 this afternoon.  Don't know if we can stand it . . .

Could actually use some rain.  Wife pointed out the spring juxtaposition on the forecast the other day, adjacent flood watches and fire danger warnings.  Everything turns brown and dry at this time of year, and certain idiots burn brush-piles on windy days.  Plus, blueberry growers burn their fallow fields to clear out old growth and weeds.

And this morning reminds me that we have seven children living next door, in a house that housed a very quiet old man for the first thirty years of our residence.  Shriek!  Considerable change.

"Red Flag" warning from the National Weather Service, high fire danger for most of Maine and New Hampshire.  Dry conditions, warm, gusty winds.

Be careful out there!

A gray cat drowsing on a pile of dead leaves in dappled shade is damn near invisible, even to cat-sensitive humans.  You may suffer indignity.
