. . . and having writ, moves on.

Nothing to do with actual writing, you understand, which I haven't been doing for some months.  But no sign of the swarming masses (redpolls, siskins, crossbills) this morning.  Just visits by four goldfinches, some undefined number of chickadees, and a nuthatch.

But we have wind, which may explain.

Some number of crows* on my afternoon walk, no gulls, a few chickadees and goldfinches when I got home.  No need to quantify . . .

Still windy, sunny, temperature into the 30s F with dripping and chunks of ice falling from roof edges.  We're scheduled for another storm tomorrow evening into Monday -- unsure at this point whether it will include a change to rain at some point.



*One for sorrow, two for joy . . . never have found out what happens when you get beyond ten or twenty.
