Minor bird-storm
Feb. 15th, 2009 09:16 amWell, the pine siskins will be represented in proper proportion. Some number in excess of 20 descended like a plague upon the land. Wife reported redpolls in the early morning gloom, a dozen or so. And the crossbills have added their bulk, at least eight for sure and probably twice that.
So our exotica will be represented in the statistical universe. The birding PTBs still don't seem to want ring-billed gulls, though . . .
Not as windy today, Temperature mid-20s F. Should finish up taxes this afternoon. And watch hockey.
EDIT:
Redpolls have also shown up in pre-wind numbers.
