Frozen north is frozen

Overnight low about 5 F -- positive degrees -- so that all of yesterday's meltwater has oozed out from under the snowbanks and frozen into glaze ice.  Expect the evening news to be full of rear-end collisions and vehicles off the road.

Sunny today, so we can look forward to a repeat performance tonight and tomorrow morning.

(Please note that I recognize this is not actually cold, by some standards.  *waves at northern New Hampshire and North Dakota*)
