Solstice, with added Snowpocalypse*

Happy turning point, to those who believe in such things. (Solstices don't happen everywhere, you know . . .)

We have been prophesied 10" to 16" of snow, with amounts increasing between prophecies. Also winds gusting over 50 mph. Starting this afternoon, into tomorrow.

Temperature -6 F, -18 C.

I think maybe I fire up the parlor stove this afternoon.
