We're here because we're here because . . .

. . . because we haven't blown thirty miles downwind.  Less windy this morning.  Still raining, though.

The computer UPS units clicked a few times, but we never lost power.  Several TV stations went off the air*.  Including the one with "Dancing With The Stars", which irritated Wife somewhat . . .

Things that go Thump! in the night somewhat resolved.  I saw a kid's toy bucket up against our north wall this morning, and a child-sized plastic porch chair lying in the street.  Folks, when you get a "High Wind Warning" from the National Weather Service, collect and park outside projectiles in a sheltered location, okay?  Consider it a public service.

More free pruning service on the side-yard maple tree.  Dead twigs and small branches only. 

*Edit:  And remain off the air this morning.  Including some digital/analog amusements -- channel 2 digital is off the air, including sub-channel 2-2, while 2 analog is on.  Channel 12 digital, including their HD 12-2, is on the air, while 12 analog is off . . .

Channel 7 is down, both analog and digital.

Neighborhood storm-damage survey

Wife and I got out for an afternoon walk, little wind, sun actually came out.  No trees down on that route.  Some small branches and twigs, some fragments of asphalt shingle, some areas of sheet flow across the road where leaves blocked the storm drains or such.

Life goes on.
