We view with alarm . . .

Anyway, We View With Alarm the latest round of Southern California wildfires, one of which maps to about midway between Younger Son and Significant Other. We'd be glad to ship you folks some of our excess rainfall for the year -- about 6" over normal, before the latest round.
But that would probably just result in mudslides. Not a big improvement.

Nov. 16th, 2008 03:27 pmIn this case, the season for swapping the lawn mower and the snow-blower. Which, of course, also involves moving two bikes, a second mower, and a garden cart . . .
Snow-blower started with one pull. Ran it for a few minutes so that it would get used to the idea, then shut it down.
Hope this little bit of unsympathetic magic will hold the blizzards at bay for a few weeks.
