Gray

Rain last night, rain again later.  At least I got my newspaper walk in, dry.

Changelings

Reading the newspaper at the dining room table, looked up, saw a gray cat (Nikita) meditating in a compact cat-loaf on the neighbor's picnic table.  Read a while longer, looked up, cat had become orange and white (Muggsy) in the same spot and pose.

Nikita is dominant in that household, so she must have moved of her own free will, leaving a warm spot and view abhorring their vacuum . . .

Making up cheese-potato soup for lunch (it's that kind of day) and shoved the potato portion into the microwave, went on to cutting up cheese and onions and washing breakfast dishes.  And then realized that I hadn't started the microwave.

Takes longer, that way.
