The wet wild woods

High wind warning through til noon, gusts 30-40 MPH.  Raining.  Drifts of fallen leaves mixing and matching and blocking the storm drains.

Our "foliage" is officially past prime.  You can still see decent color close to the coast, act the flatlander tourist and otherwise contribute to the local economy, but don't say I didn't warn you.  Take a lobster out to dinner!

Further amusement regarding the sports world

Apropos of viewing sports, Younger Son is plotting and making reservations for a trip to the next Winter Olympics, what with some friends in Vancouver and all.  And he is not thrilled that all the "package" venue ticket deals include hockey or curling.

Um, Son?  What part of "Canada" don't you understand?

Still raining

The original forecast had this stuff moving out.  I want my money back.

(At least it's relatively warm out there, 59 F.)
