Morning headcount

Well, all of the immediately-local cats accounted for.  Nikita and Muggsy picketing front door of Neighbor.  Pastel calico seen behind a window.  Groucho seen.  So the owl hasn't collected any of them. 

Have not seen Collarless Cat (gray, down the street, same house as Pastel) for some time, so Bad Things may have happened there.  Also haven't seen Tiger in a couple of weeks, but he is/was ancient, 16 or 17 years old, and his People may be allowing him to keep his aches and pains in the warm house more.

Red sky this morning, low clouds, but the sun just broke out.  Forecast for rain tonight.

Neighborhood watch

Had a chance to warn Neighbor (she of the House of Nikita and Muggsy) of my large owl sighting.  She is aware of the nature of great horned owls, and will pay attention to the habits of both cats and their small yappy owl-food dog.  I have done my civic duty.  (Although, since Small Yappy Dog took offense at my presence, maybe Neighbor could slack off a bit, there . . .)

Gonna be one of those years

Okay, the Maine hockey team looks like a dud.  Michigan's football team goes beyond dud.  Brady's out from the Patriots, the Sox blew it, and basketball sucks as a spectator sport.

I'd watch curling, but we don't get Canadian TV . . .
