Kyle is supposed to come on shore about 8:00 PM tonight, east of us -- about on the West Quoddy Light, near as I can tell. We're still in the "tropical storm" zone. Very little wind at this point.

Only a minor boggle, but from the NWS forecast on Kyle:

TIDES OF 1 TO 2 FEET ABOVE NORMAL... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER LEVELS IN THE BAY OF FUNDY... AND ACCOMPANIED BY LARGE AND DANGEROUS BATTERING WAVES... .ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE COASTS OF OF NEW ENGLAND AND THE CANADIAN MARITIMES IN ASSOCIATION WITH KYLE.

The boggle comes from considering what constitutes "normal" tides in the Bay of Fundy -- well over 40', sometimes 50' . . .

Storm has taken a slant east, now aimed at Yarmouth, NS. We're off the "tropical storm" roster, but still have a flood warning with predicted 4" to 8" of rain . . .

A mess this big really requires a team effort, folks.

Kyle seems to be off in Canada by now. Not raining, very little wind. Temperature about 62 F with dew-point at 61, still tropical air.

Extreme down-east still likely to get another inch or two of rain.
