According to the morning radio, the temperature in Presque Isle dropped to -20 F last night, while the overnight low in Portland stood at +21.  And some people wonder why the remoter inhabitants of Maine regard Portlanders as a separate species...

In other news, had no internet or email for most of the day.  Don't know if Verizon had a problem, or my turning the DSL modem off and on served to reset a bit of local electronic snit.
