Recant, heretics!

The weather people still think we have Weather headed our way.  They waffle and wibble as to what kind and where and when.  Like, they say we have a chance of escaping with rain this time.  Or not.  Two shots, anyway, late tonight into tomorrow morning and then late tomorrow into Sunday.

Just ducky.  Still have ice on the driveway from the last run...

Are the glasses half full, or half empty?

Okay, my glasses frames have been getting wonky (precise technical term) for the last week or so, the bridge piece over my nose bending at the slightest provocation.  To the point where I've taken to carrying a spare pair with me, in case the damned things fall off my face.

Just went over to the optician and got a replacement frame, something I wasn't sure I'd be able to get because of style changes.  And I commented to the nice lady at the desk that I expected a pair of frames to last longer than two years.

They had the same model, so I could salvage the old lenses.  They had the right size in stock, in a slightly different color.  She charged me half price, even though the warranty ran out  nine months ago.  Straight run of luck.

But they shouldn't have failed in the first place...
