Subzero again
Jan. 27th, 2008 08:27 amJust barely subzero this morning, with little wind. Nothing like the Minus-Ohmigod readings they've been reporting lately from the Arctic Wastes of northern Maine: -30 F with Added! Windchill!
Still no fresh snow. Next chance of precipitation predicted for Tuesday, and that may be rain. Like we needed any more ice on the sidewalks...
The surplus backup power supply has migrated out to the nature center, replacing an ancient unit, undersized (280 VA as opposed to 450), with a dead battery. I could replace that battery, but it isn't worth the effort, with the power needs of modern computers.
